Biografía y prensa
Mí abuelo materno tuvo un colmado en el pueblo. Mi abuelo paterno hizo de todo entre Murcia y Mallorca y, mis abuelas, se desvivían cosiendo ropa y afrontado continuas preocupaciones. Mis padres tuvieron que emigrar a Cataluña y acabaron teniendo un bar en el que trabajábamos toda la familia. Yo, quizás, me tenía que haber quedado con el bar pero elegí el camino de la luz. No faltó quién me decía que sería difícil y duro, pero nadie en mi familia lo ha tenido fácil, ¿por qué yo iba a ser menos?
Los años de estudio me ayudaron a saber de técnica, metodología y a entender que la fotografía es un oficio. Los profesores me aconsejaron especializarme en moda para ganarme la vida, pero siempre fui más amigo de estar al aire libre. Bajo las nubes y el sol es donde aprendí a escuchar a la intuición que me guía para juntar los ojos y el corazón, dejé la paciencia y el cerebro para la mesa de edición. En todo lo demás sigo aprendiendo.
Hubo años aciagos, de decepciones, de silencio y parecía que la fotografía siempre estaba en otro lado diferente al que yo miraba. Apreté los dientes y continué con la cámara en la mano. Empezaron a haber exposiciones, catálogos, entrevistas, premios y algún que otro libro, sin estar aún seguro de haberme encontrado. La alegría fue grande, pero todo tiene un lado oscuro con el que es difícil lidiar. Aunque el cuerpo ya está acostumbrando a las caídas, el alma sabe levantarse y a mis ojos ya no les importa mirar donde aparentemente no hay nada.
Parece que todo fue un instante.

My maternal grandfather had a grocery store in the village. My paternal grandfather did everything between Murcia and Mallorca and my grandmothers worked their butts off sewing clothes and coping with constant worries. My parents had to emigrate to Catalonia and ended up having a bar where the whole family worked. I, perhaps, should have stayed with the bar but I chose the path of light. There were those who told me it would be difficult and hard, but no one in my family has had it easy, why should I be any less?
The years of study helped me to know about technique, methodology and to understand that photography is a trade. The teachers advised me to specialize in fashion to earn a living, but I was always more of a fan of being outdoors. Under the clouds and the sun is where I learned to listen to the intuition that guides me to bring my eyes and heart together, I left patience and brain for the editing table. In everything else I continue learning.
There were sad years, of disappointments, of silence, and it seemed that photography was always somewhere else than where I was looking. I gritted my teeth and continued with the camera in my hand. There began to be exhibitions, catalogues, interviews, awards and the occasional book, without being sure yet that I had found myself. The joy was great, but everything has a dark side that is difficult to deal with. Although the body is already accustomed to falling, the soul knows how to get up and my eyes no longer care to look where there is apparently nothing.
It seems that everything was in an instant.
