Declaración
Una suerte de magia sucede cuando se escribe, la levedad de las ideas se ve transmutada en la pesadez de lo físico. Nuestros pensamientos se transforman en certezas a ojos de otros, y no existe mayor miedo para quien habita en la duda. Cuando retrato pasa algo parecido, aunque mi mirada casi hace desaparecer los temores de la indecisión. Así la intuición aflora y lo que pienso se retrata con facilidad y parece estar bien, como siempre las apariencias engañan.La fotografía convive en el mismo territorio del fracaso y cualquier elemento, que no sea tenido en cuenta, está a punto de destruirla o convertirla en algo sublime. Por eso es necesario un profundo análisis técnico, estético, filosófico y espiritual de lo obtenido; todo ha de acompañar para que quién lo mire entre en el hechizo. La edición es tan importante como la toma, un autor se define decidiendo que tiene que ver con él y qué no, con las respuestas se presenta ante el mundo. Para los que vivimos en la duda es el tramo más difícil de recorrer, mostrar ante todos quienes somos cuando la mayoría de las veces no lo sabemos. Por suerte el camino te hace aprender cuatro cosas de ti, para darte cuenta en el siguiente cruce que las has olvidado, obligándome a hacer otra vez el viaje para recordarlas. En mi caso siempre camino en círculos entre lo que me es cercano y el silencio.
Statement
A typeof magic occurs when I write, as the lightness of ideas is transmuted into thetedium of the physical. Our thoughts are found in the certainty in others’eyes, and there is no greater fear than he who lives in doubt. When I doportraits, something similar happens, although my vision makes the qualms ofindecision fade away. So, intuition blossoms and what I can easily portray whatI think and it seems to be good, although appearances deceive, like always.Photography coexists in the same territory as failure and any item that is notborn in mind is about to be destroyed or turned into something sublime. That iswhy an in-depth technical, aesthetic, philosophical and spiritual analysis isneeded of what is obtained. Everything must be included so that viewers enterinto the spell. Editing is as important as the shooting. An author defineshimself by deciding what is and is not related to him, and he shows himself tothe world based on these answers. For those of us who live with doubt, it isthe toughest stretch to get through, showing everyone who we are when most ofthe time we simply don’t know. Luckily the journey makes you learn some thingsabout yourself to then realise at the next crossroads that you’ve forgottenthem all, forcing me to take the journey again to remember them yet again. Inmy case, I always walk in circles between what is close to me and silence.
